"Just See What You Can Do"... for FREE.

via swissmiss

This video is absolutely hilarious. But, after the laughter comes the uncomfortable silence of truth. This video, unfortunately, holds true to so many client/vendor working relationships. As portrayed here, it bewilders the unsuspecting vendor when the client requests the same quality of work/service, for "free." This isn't the same as fairly negotiating for the common good of both parties. Instead it is an attempt to "one up" or "get as much as possible without paying for it" and is therefore an example of how NOT to conduct business negotiations in any industry. Providing valuable work at an affordable price to clients is a wise business move.

So, how do you address or prevent this from happening to you? Carefully select clients who truly want the best results and quality for their business success. To significantly lower the pricing of your work could work against you. It could communicate that the work you provide is invaluable or low quality. In a slow economy like today, clients are looking for ways to get the best VALUE for the PRICE. Providing professional and quality work for the best value for a client's business positions you as a hot commodity and distinguishes you from the next design shop around the corner.

New Brand Identity for Derek Adame P.C.

I-SIGHT DESIGNS just completed a new brand identity for Denton County lawyer, Derek Adame. Derek Adame came to me with a desire to create a new logo that reflected his passion and commitment for providing criminal defense for his customers. He believes in "Providing Creative Solutions to Important Problems." Derek needed a logo that was traditionally professional, but yet creatively different. After reviewing several options and revisions, a winner stood out from the pack. The new DA logo combines the traditional style by utilizing a Times Roman "A" in the navy block, paired with a san serif font for the company name and remaining initials. Derek said, "I don't want something that's too flashy and could scare off my affluent or non-affluent, but a logo that is memorably different than the typical lawyer's logo is my goal."

Along with the logo design came a new stationary package, brochure rack card, and ad design to launch the new look. Check out Derek's new look.

We're Relocating to Austin, Texas!!!

I-Sight Designs is packing up and moving out! We're relocating to Austin, Texas–one of the most creative city's in Texas. This long-awaited move comes at a time when business is flowing and deadlines are stacking. So, why move? When I-Sight Designs was founded in 2002, I wanted to create a freelance design studio that could deliver the best results to boost business for my clients. This included providing the best resources, effective design solutions, and affordable rates.  With moving to Austin, I will still be able to deliver those same tangibles and more with an increase in space, resources and skills.

Although we're relocating from the DFW area, we are still just a phone call away when you need us. Thank you for the opportunity to create great work together and I look forward to continuing our relationship.

Warm Regards,
Roy Milton
